Bio
A short bio, written in the third person for podcast and event intros.
Nikunj Kothari is a Partner at FPV Ventures, a San Francisco venture capital firm that backs founders at the seed and Series A stage. He joined FPV Ventures in 2025 after a year as a Partner at Khosla Ventures.
Before investing full time he spent a decade as an early product and growth leader at startups: Product & Partnerships Lead at Meter, Head of Growth at Opendoor, Consumer Product Lead at Shyp, Head of Product at Hall (acquired by Atlassian), and Product Manager on the ads team at LinkedIn. That operating background is why he gravitates toward unglamorous markets in networking, real estate, logistics, and other physical-world industries.
His investments include Primer, Viven, Fragile, Extraordinary, Grand Charter, Embra, Railway, and Reactor. He writes Balancing Act, a Substack about investing, operating, and life, and holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
